Women Drivers

I didn't read the article so I don;t know if it reputes what I said or not.

Also, how many women are there that race, two, three? Out of say, 100 men, a 2% probability that they will win. Look at the other minority statistics for Nascar, so are gay men lesser drivers? Or black men? Or Muslim Men? Nope and neither are women.

Abilities can be restricted by beliefs, but they are not stunted. A gay woman may turn out to be the best driver ever seen, but he may not choose to race simply because it does not interest her.

I agree. It always bugs me when people chastised me for being more interested in barbies than sports. "That's so sexist!" No, it's what I enjoy. It's a shame that men and women have to compete in separate tournaments though. Men's sports always get way more coverage.

agreed. I think women's tennis is actually quite amusing. then again, the tennis skirts help, but they certainly play better than men.

I'd respect woman's tennis more if they played the same amount of sets as the men. Same goes for golf (closer tees? wimps!) and basketball (where do I begin?).

Now soccer. That's where the females impress me.

Soccer is the ONE sport besides tennis that I don't totally fail at. Nevertheless, the only time I watch it is at World Cup time.

Sports aren't my thing, I cant watch them, way too boring but I am really good at volleyball.

You at least watch the Penguins, right?

I will watch pieces of the game, usally just the highlights that I can get online. My school doesnt have cable, so I dont watch much of anything.

Based on their average attendance, I would say nobody has.

I remember seeing a clip from the first "dunk" in WNBA history. I think they used the word dunk a bit too liberally.

Well, it's not really the womens' fault they're shorter.

It is the women's fault that they're worse at basketball.

Lisa Leslie (the player in question) is 6'5. Kobe Bryant is 6'6, and he can easily dunk the ball. I'm sure if I looked long enough, I could find a 6'5 (or 6'4) NBA player who can dunk the ball. Height isn't the issue in this case. Skill is the issue.

Note: I don't watch basketball, so maybe some of those Lakers under 6'5 can dunk the ball. I wouldn't know.
