Halloween Party

So, as we all know, Halloween is right around the corner and being the true nerds we are, 2 facts will hold true. First we all love to dress up despite the old people yelling that we are too damn old to be and fact number 2, that we will have nowhere to go in our epically nerdy costumes thanks to said old people.

So, we here at Nintendorks have decided to pool our neardiness and have the first, ever, chatroom video party. Yes, we are indeed hosting an online party so that we who hate to venture into the outside world to socialize have something to talk about for the years to come.


So, there you go all the information you need. We will- you have questions you say? Alright, lets try to answer them for you.

Q: Why isn't the party on Halloween?
A: We took a vote and most people were, ironically, unavailable on Halloween. Saturday makes it easier as more people can come and we don't have to worry about school or work the next day.

Q: Internet party? NERDS! Also, where?
A: Damn, you found us out, how could you tell? We did find a chatroom called tinychat. You can have up to 12 cams, Skype can only have 2 or 3 at once, you can have unlimited members on at once, I can host a private room, with a passcode and I am the moderator, so I control EVERYTHING. Q: Costumes Required? But I can't afford to.
A: Well, try to be creative. Wear a garbage bag and say you are a dead body. Google somethings that you can do with stuff just laying around.

Q: Okay, but I REALLY can't/don't want to.
A: You can still come, but I would stay off of cam. We have a limit of 12 cams at a time, so if you do come and aren't wearing a costume or going to be doing awesome Halloween stuffs on camera, leave that for someone else.

Q: Then why should I bother dressing up?
A: Because everyone who participates will get a special surprise inside. And because its is the most fun you will ever have. Like ever. There will also be a costume contest, some of the titles including: Nerdiest Costume, Most Predictable Costume, Coolest Costume, Most Resourceful Costume, Best Nintendork Meme contest and whatever else I can think of. Plus you will get a super shiny trophy for under your avatar.

Q: I can't come, can I still enter the costume contest?
A: Yep. I will start a thread to post pictures of you in your costume. This will also have links to where you can vote for the costumes. The poll will stay open for a few days.

Q: What is this, 6:00 Eastern? WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!
A: Well, I made the invitation without thinking that people in other parts of the world actually use a different clock and are in a different time zone. It's all a part of the game! I made it a puzzle....
And I gave you the solution below in a countdown clock. I am too damn nice.

Q: But I am busy at 6, can I show up at 10/12/whatever?
A: Sure, but their are no guarantees that anyone will still be on.

Q: How long is this party going to last?
A: As long as people stay around. Red and I will probably be on all night, but no promises.

Q: What are gonna do, are we just going to stare at each other?
A: We could. Or we could have EPIC PARTY GAMES PLANNED BY ME, or ya know, staring at each is good.

Q: I don't have a webcam and/or a microphone. Can I still come?
A: Yep. You should be able to see and hear everything that is going on and theer is a text portion so you can be a part of the festivities. Some games may require a cam or mic but I will try to keep them to a minimum.

Q: Any rules I should know about?
A: Pretty much the rules here apply there. No nudity etc. I WILL kick you, but we shouldn't have this problem.

A suggestion, take a picture of your self in costume at the beginning of the party. I will be using a polling site for everyone to get 1 vote, so, yep, you need a picture. A screencap of your webcam would be fine. Just make sure we can see you.

Also, if anyone has any party ideas, let me know. :3
