Haha, the 9-10dorks reference brings me back. I figured you had deleted most of the posts from the "invasion", but these few in here cracked me up.

We should be called "Senior Nintendorks"

You know, that makes an odd amount of sense. (Not to mention possibly being very confusing to any more new people.) I like it though!

Senior Nintendorks for the ones who had the name first; Original Nintendorks for the original Islanders...

It will also work because most of us are WAY older than you guys. And on a technicality, since you guys have only been around for a few years, how does that qualify you to be "Original"? You seem nice, and serious about "The Cause," but really, come on!

If anything, we are Nintendorks and you guys are Islanders.

Well in all seriousness. We kinda do have the LLC paperwork on the Nintendorks name being as Nintendorks.com and all our various subforums and what have you have been around since at least the late 90's. We are known to lots of people at Nintendo. We have even had some of our Senior Nintendorks actually work for the Nintendo company. I can't speak for anyone but a dork is a dork, and if your a dork that loves Nintendo then your a Nintendork. Welcome to the family our recently found, possibly special, unknown cousins.

Er, did I ever say "Original Nintendorks?" No, I did not, at least that I can remember. Look, semantics are semantics. You can argue over the name as much as you like if you want, we're not going to change our name. This site will remain Nintendorks' Island. If we start mucking with senior vs. junior, many people will either get very confused or affronted, so I'm not going to start that. If you are a member here you are a member of Nintendorks' Island you are a Nintendork Islander, if you are a member at Nintendorks.com you are a Nintendork. There's no real difference.

Agreed. I don't care what you guys call this forum, I was just mildy annoyed by the "Original" and "True" labels that have been thrown about.

Eh, the "true" label was thrown around when we were all still mad about the whole "We're from Nintendojo," thing. I'm just calling them nintendorks and other nintendorks because to this site, you guys are the "other nintendorks." You're the other site. It was actually, at least in my mind, more equal than "Islanders" and "Seniors."
