popping in for a visit, with some new project pics (ALOT of pics)
haven't been here in over a year, thought i'd inform those of you who remember me that i'm still alive and show some pics of my latest art projects.
this one isn't finished yet but here it is, and a ham cookie to anyone who knows who it is

and here's some more of the usual projects

this one was interesting, commissioned to make it by a big Bruce lee and Friday the 13th fan

my personal favorite, really love the blue triangles

here's a clean one, believe it or not, but this is the most stressful one to make, one little slip and it's ruined

some ink drawings I did, first is Al Capone then Bruce Lee

and here are some costume shots i've taken with the few things i've kept, I sell most of it when i'm finished.

Well, it's Anthony Hopkins... I'm thinking that its from his role as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs or the sequel? (He is an amazing actor! He really deserves more major roles.)
That's beautiful work on all of those.

I get the hockey mask blanks from frightstuff.com, the latex mask blanks from ebay (the hair on the latex masks was bought online), the leather is acquired from various sources such as belts, stores, and people selling it online, the leather often needs dyed. the buckles and misc. stuff on the leather straps often need to be purchased online to find movie accurate materials, the elastic for the other straps and the snaps come from basic fabric stores, the other fasteners come from hardware stores.
the painting materials come from hardware stores and craft stores. I use sandpaper, knives, and the dremel, among other things to prep it for the paint, as having actual gouges enhances the paintup greatly. I very rarely need any specific colors as I mix most colors myself. as for tools I use a drill with a step bit (can drill any size hole and the result is perfectly clean) and a dremel, the dremel is one of the most important tools I use without it I would not have completed most of the above projects. as for what I use to paint, i've used a variety of brushes, tiny little pieces of foam, my fingers, etc.
