Persona Series[PSX,PS2,PSP]
I finally upgraded my PSP and started playing Persona. It was originally a PSX game many years ago. I never got a chance to play it or the second game when they came out. I did get Persona 3 and P3:FES for the PS2 as well as Persona 4. I really enjoy these games. The first one is a little rough around the edges, but it is fun.
The game involves high school age kids and their power to conjure a spirit called a "Persona" to help them on their super natural quest. During the game you can get more spell cards to make new Personas(in the first one at least). You level up and rank up your Persona to unlock more powers.
I believe in July, Persona 3 is being released for the PSP with some changes from the PS2 version. If you like JRPGs with a dungeon crawler twist, I highly recommend getting it.
These games tend to be unforgiving and very challenging. Thankfully they have a beginner mode! I didn't get to play P3 or P4 too much due to only having a PS3 and those games tended to delete saves. I need to pick up a PS2 again and play through the games. Both games have great art style, with an awesome soundtrack. Anyone else here play the games?
I will give links to Amazon for those looking for purchase and to GameSpot to do more research on the games.
Amazon:
Persona 1 on the PSP
Persona 3 Portable
Persona 3:FES on PS2
Persona 4 on PS2
GameSpot:
Persona on PSP
Persona 3 Portable on PSP
Persona 3 on PS2
Persona 4 on PS2
These are some of the best RPGs I have played. Today I put 7+ hours into P1. I didn't think I played that long. It is so good the time flew by. Just wanted to note that the Amazon links are just links. I am not advertising, nor do I get any kick backs from them. I just wanted to make those who want to purchase the games an easier time to find them.

Sadly, I don't own any playstation products. It does sound interesting though, I always liked RPGs.

These games are fun. I am stuck and sadly the only guide I have found for it, isn't that well written at GameFaqs. I wish I just had maps. So far I haven't died, but now that I just said that I am sure to get wiped out.

Lol. Jinxed. Is it a 3rd-party-produced game? Because those tend to have fewer walkthroughs, I've noticed.

Yeah, but the awesome people at DoubleJump who usually do the guides for Atlus games had to cancel it due to time and money constraints. I was hoping for a fan made one since it has a decent following.

Wow, rare that you see a recession actually hit a gaming company like that. Most of the time they look (at least to the consumers) fairly stable.

It was more to do with lack of interest and the high piracy on the PSP. I don't think it sold too well and it didn't have many pre-orders. DoubleJump is also a pretty small company in comparison to the other guide book makers.

I wasn't aware that the PSP was so pirated. I wonder what makes it that way? I mean, whatever nintendo does, it seems to be at least moderately effective, same with microsoft (at least their games, windows is another story, lol).
Hm, I've never heard of them. I know of the usual ones like Prima and Versus, but never of DoubleJump. Then again, I almost never buy game guides, so...

With in days of the PSP's release there were ways to play games from your memory stick. It is really easy. I have mine cracked so I can take multiple games I own with me without having to take a bunch of PSP games. The DS and Wii are relatively easy to crack. Some guy in AUS leaked Mario Kart Wii on the internet and was sued. The DS just needs a flashcard. I know for me, I buy the games I want to play. If I enjoy a game, I buy it. I am guessing many people feel this way that own a Wii or DS. Even though I could, I don't have my Wii cracked. I don't play it enough and I don't buy too many games for it(compared to my 360). Not worth the hassle.

I never played Persona but a friend of mine had it (he broke it unfortunately) but I like the sound of it. I'll be watching the video walk through now, here are some links if you guys are interested.
I couldn't find one. Looks awesoem, though.

Also, if you like RPG's., you may already know, but two of my favorite are Diablo and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. Diablo is more of a knight in shiny armor type good vs. evil thing but Arcanum is a either side, steam punk-y, oh, you have to see it to be able to take in the environment. I love it.
