The first Sims 3 Expansion Pack has been announced!

Cool, I just need to get an updated video card and some other things and maybe I can get the Sims 3 to work

I wonder what their next move will be? I'm going to put my money on "city life."

I would have to agree, something along the lines of an updated night life, maybe with some of the elements of Apartment Life? But I did notice that there was a few references to pets in their holiday free stuff on the exchange thing, so maybe it will be in the next two?

If I had the game, I don;t think I would get pets because I hated that EP for the sims 2. The animals were nice, but I hated that you could only get a cat or dog, I would have liked some more choice and the items were very undesirable to me, so I usually keep it uninstalled, specially because it causes too much lag.

Yeah, in Sims 1 Unleashed was one of the better EPs. Dogs could chase burglars and bring in the paper, cats chased flies and pests, both would chase rabbits out of the garden, and you could win prizes at pet shows (assuming the pet was still in a good mood by the time you got there. Those taxis tended to take forever, and you had no cars of your own.) And they added some really nice community lots as well as the gardening. They removed all the imagination from it when they remade it for Sims 2. At least we got some advance warning when they removed all the imagination from the name of the EP too.

I do however remember that the animals would come to your lot, pee, then leave in Unleashed.

I loved those contests. The could have done it easily enough, I mean they did it in freetme with the food, right?

It would be really nice if the Sims 3 Ep that adds pets also adds things like rideable horses, sheep, cows, and maybe some animals like deer and tigers.

But knowing EA, we will end up with the usual cats, dogs, fish, parrot, and gerbil/hamster/womrat/whatever they call it this time. Along with a collection of bugs that takes at least 4 patches to fix.

Come to think of it, we already have the fish...

I was fantasizing about my dream EP. It would be called: Anti-Bug, fixing all the bugs we put in the first EP.

I know I wanted a Time travel for Sims 2 for the longest time, still do. Different period with different clothes that I could criticize for being inaccurate, but to have a time machine, how cool!

Agreed. That would be fascinating.

*wishes there was a complete remake of sims 1 with sims 3 graphics and 3d.

If you have AL, you could simulate a time machine in TS2 by adding all the sub-hoods and making each one a different era. Get Inge's colored keys and pick a color for each different sub-hood. Then go through and give the appropriate color (and makeover/wardrobe adjustment) to the townies of each area. (SimPe is a big help there.)

Then get the visitor controller and set it to allow only visitors with the appropriate colored key.

(The long loading time between each sub-hood is part of the time-travel process.)
